4 Leaf New England will be hosting tryouts for our 2022-2023 travel teams for all age groups 2023 (rising 12th grade) through 2033 (rising 2nd grade).
All teams are grade-based, except for the 4Leaf 2032 team (which will include second graders).
We will be offering three tryout locations for anyone interested in playing for 4 Leaf New England. We ask that everyone attend at least one tryout date at whichever location is most convenient for players and parents. The evaluative process will be uniform across the various locations.
Dates & Locations:
Tuesday July 19 - 6pm-8pm – Derryfield School, Manchester, NH
Wednesday July 20 – 10am-12pm – St. Thomas Aquinas, Dover, NH
Wednesday July 20 – 6pm-8pm – St. Joes College, Standish, ME
Thursday July 21 - 6pm-8pm – Derryfield School, Manchester, NH
Player check in opens 30 minutes prior to the start of each age group’s assigned time slot. At the tryout, all players will be issued a tryout reversible pinnie with a number on the back. Players will then be put through a series of drills and scrimmages where they will be evaluated by the 4Leaf coaching staff. If you attend more than one tryout, you MUST bring your assigned pinnie with you to ensure you are evaluated correctly.
4 Leaf Program Format:
4 Leaf New England offers an “annual tuition” option that includes more training and individual opportunities over the four seasons. Our program’s high school players are offered a year-round training option for the fall, winter, and summer season. The 4Leaf Youth Program includes fall, winter, spring, and summer.
We believe strongly in the multi-sport athlete and the only requirement, if selected for one of our organization’s elite summer teams, is participation in the summer program (for high schoolers) and spring and summer (for youth players). We do not discourage other sport playing opportunities that will develop a player.
All players who are selected for the Fall 2022/Summer 2023 roster will have the opportunity to participate in our fall travel program. We will not be offering separate teams for the fall/summer as only players who make the summer roster will be offered the opportunity to participate in our fall program.
In the fall, our high school teams attend 2-3 of the premier recruiting tournaments in November and have five outdoor practices. We will have two training locations for players to attend whichever location is more convenient. We will offer training on Sundays in the Manchester NH area, and Portland ME Area.
For our youth teams (2nd– 8th grade), we offer a fall tournament option, which includes attending 1-2 tournaments and five practices. We will have two training locations for players to attend whichever location is more convenient. We will offer training on Sundays in the Manchester NH area, and Portland ME Area.
Throughout the winter season our players are offered skill sessions on multiple nights at different locations throughout New England. As part of our program fee, our players can attend as many or as few skills / positional nights as their schedule will allow. Players are not required to attend these sessions and there will be no attendance taken. We recommend that players attend trainings that are most convenient geographically and work with their schedules. This winter we will be offering training in the following locations: Tyngsboro, MA; Hooksett, NH; Bow, NH; Meriden, NH; Berwick, ME; and Portland, ME.
During the spring ‘22 season, our high schoolers participate exclusively with their respective school teams. Our youth program participates in the New England Elite Lacrosse League with the other top clubs in New England. This league has been built to create competitive games for club lacrosse players during the spring season. The vision for NEELL is to create a league that changes the spring landscape providing greater competition for our lacrosse players. More training and extra reps will not only increase the skill of our players, but also create a more cohesive team for each program ultimately improving summer and future competition. We do strongly encourage our players to participate in their town season as we believe in the relationships and development of every town program as those are the players/friends our players will be competing alongside with in high school for state championships.
Our summer season begins in June and concludes by the middle of July. Every 4Leaf team will compete in four to five summer events in addition to a preseason training camp and regional based training. Our teams are provided with two-three coaches per team to ensure maximum contact time with our seasoned staff to ensure continued player development.
